Online: Between a theatre piece and a computer game

Between a theatre piece and a computer game
Live stream 18:30-19:30

A talk with Lasse Marburg and Yves Regenass from Machina Ex (Germany) moderated by Daniela Popova
In partnership with ACT Festival – Independent Theater Festival

The German collective, Machina Ex, say that they create theatrical performances, which are also computer games. This year, after the invitation of Sofia Game Night and ACT Festival – Independent Theater Festival, they will visit Bulgaria for the first time, with the premiere outside Germany of their latest project “Homecoming” – an entirely online performance-game or a game-performance to watch and experience from one’s home.

In between the two online performances, SGN and ACT will also provide an opportunity for a live meeting with Yves Regenas and Lasse Marburg from Machina Ex. In a conversation with Daniela Popova (Three Trolls, Sofia), the two will talk about their work and the thin line between “playing” on stage and “playing” a computer game. The conversation can be particularly intriguing for the audiences of  the Homecoming, but also for everyone else who is interested in computer games, theater and especially experiments and unexpected creative combinations.
